Project Description

The Greening Private Enterprises in Kosovo (GPEK) project, funded by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) and the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida) and implemented by Helvetas Swiss

Intercooperation, supports Kosovo’s private sector in transitioning toward greener and more sustainable business models. By promoting resource efficiency, renewable energy, circular-economy practices, and compliance with emerging environmental standards, GPEK contributes to building a more competitive, resilient, and environmentally responsible business ecosystem.

The project is currently in its inception phase (1 May 2025 – 31 January 2026), with the main implementation phase expected to start on 1 February 2026 and end on 31 January 2031.

Position Description

The Communications, Knowledge Management and Learning Lead is responsible for designing and implementing an integrated approach to communications, knowledge management and learning that connects project evidence, adaptive management, and external visibility across all GPEK outcomes. The role ensures that learning and communication outputs are evidence-based, donor-compliant, and aligned with GPEK’s systemic-change approach and Communication for Development principles.

• Plan and implement awareness and public engagement campaigns using Communication for Development (C4D) principles to influence green business behaviors.

• Translate research and evidence into accessible communication products that inform public discourse and strengthen green transition knowledge.

• Support donor reporting and representation by ensuring outputs are evidence-based, MRM-aligned, and approved per internal protocols.

• Manage editorial processes, service providers, and media partnerships, maintaining high standards of quality, consistency, and professional engagement.

• Coordinate visibility and communication support for events (workshops, conferences, dialogues), including content planning, promotion, and documentation.

Knowledge Management and Learning (indicative 30%)

• Design and maintain an integrated Knowledge Management and Learning (KML) system aligned with GPEK’s systemic-change approach, Monitoring and Results Measurement framework, and donor standards.

• Facilitate structured internal learning (reflection sessions, learning briefs), ensuring lessons feed into strategy, reporting, and communications.

• Ensure KML outputs contribute to positioning GPEK externally by translating learning into credible, public-facing knowledge products.

Your Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, marketing, development studies, public policy, business management, or a related field. A master’s degree and/or relevant professional certifications are an asset.

• At least 6 years of relevant experience in communications for development cooperation, sustainability, market systems, or private-sector development.

• Proven ability to design and implement integrated communication and learning strategies.

• Solid knowledge of donor visibility standards, results-based frameworks, and evidence-based communication.

• Outstanding writing skills and ability to tailor content to different audiences.

• Proficiency in creating visual and multimedia content using online tools.
